Web Hosting terms and conditions
You must agree to the following terms and conditions to have your web site hosted by webgift. By becoming an webgift web hosting customer you indicate acceptance of these terms. These terms applies to all hosting packages provided by webgift.
Site content and user actions
webgift does not allow storage and/or display of the following material on its servers. This includes uploading to web sites, or transmitting by any material (by e-mail, uploading, posting or otherwise). Also some user actions, like spamming, are not allowed.
- Hosting porn/adult sites and material including child pornography.
- Distribution of illegal/stolen software or other material (audio, images, videos, etc).
- Distribution of Viruses, Spyware, and Malware
- Spamming (sending unsolicited commercial or bulk emails) using our servers is strictly not allowed.
- Link farming sites or other Black hat SEO actions.
- Hacking activity.
- Fraudulent activity, products or services.
- Copyright or trademark infringement
In order to protect other users, we may, temporarily or not, suspend a hosting account if this site slows down our servers or uses too many server resources. In this case, we will try to find a solution together with the customer.
You must take reasonable steps to protect the security of our servers. This includes, but is not limited to:
- keeping all passwords secure. You must not reveal your passwords to third parties.
- ensuring that any scripts that are installed on your site cannot be exploited to compromise the security of the server.
- immediately inform us if your web site has been compromized/hacked.
We might have, from time to time, to perform maintenance, upgrades or replacements to our servers. We reserve the right to suspend access to such server during the required time to do the maintenance, upgrade or exchange the server. This action maybe announce on this site in advanced, however it might not (especially if it is something urgent or of minor importance).
webgift web services will not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer. webgift makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. webgift disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from natural causes, disasters, hardware malfunction, human mistakes, suppliers, customers or any third party. You, as an webgift customer, are solely responsible for the content stored on and served by your web site.
We have long experience on Elxis CMS hosting and we provide free installation of Elxis CMS. After agreement we also provide free update service for your Elxis powered web site. However we do not provide support for Elxis CMS. Please use the Elxis official sites for that purpose: Elxis forum.
You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your content. We provide an automatic daily/weekly backup service for your site, however, we do not accept responsibility for any failure of our backup mechanism. The automatic online backups are stored on server in an non-accessible by you location in order not to reserve space from your hosting account. However, after your request, we can copy the daily or weekly backup to an accessible, by you, location on your site. We will restore your site from backup if you requested so. webgift takes the following types of backups for your site.
- Automatic daily backup for your site files and databases (stored on server).
- Automatic weekly backup for your site files and databases (stored on server).
- Manual monthly backup for your site files and databases (downloaded to an offline location).
We provide free technical support to our customers for issues related to the web hosting services (and not for application-specific issues such as php/html/css programming) via e-mail, live chat and phone. Phone support is available during the following hours:
Monday-Friday 09:00 to 17:00 (GMT+2 - Greece time)
Saturday: 09:00 to 14:00 (GMT+2 - Greece time)
All days including Sunday 10:00 - 14:00 for emergency situations only to our cell phone.
Our telephone numbers are available to our customers.
Termination, Suspension and Clean up
You may terminate your hosting at any time. You can not claim money refund for the rest of the purchased hosting period. We may suspend any or all of your services where we have reason to suspect a violation of our terms and conditions whilst we investigate the suspected violation. We may suspend your services where we have reason to suspect that a script installed on your site is being abused whilst we investigate the suspected abuse. We may suspend your services if your hosting account has been expired and you have not proceed to its renewal within 15 days from the expiration date. Longer delays may lead to account termination.If we suspect that activities performed by you or a third party on your hosting account, whether deliberate or not, may compromise the security of our server or any other server or computer, we may require a clean up to be performed. If the activites were performed by you, we may terminate your account without any prior notification and without any refound.
